Your work reminds of old school marquetry using the beauty of inlaid real wood veneers such as mahogony, cherry, walnut, ebony. Very nice job of composition in my opinion. What works for motivation or inspiration for you shows in your work. God Bless .

James, I do believe you are selling yourself short. As an original, assuming this is an original I would put more than $23 on the price tag for a start. Before my son took our horses away with him to do stock work on the station where he works, we did alot of horse riding and sometimes in the woods - seeing the positioning of the horses legs instantly jolted my memory back to when I did a light canter back home thru the pine forest I was riding in, as it was getting late and I wanted to arrive home before dark fall but I didn't wish to thrash the living daylights outa poor Millie by galloping hard out like a maniac and make her lame before we got there. I'm not sure why your man on your horse is naked any more than some of my nude girls riding horse back that I've painted are naked - perhaps you'd care to enlighten me. Dianne.
Posted on 10/24/2009 at 11:09 PM
James, I love naive art....but there's nothing naive here.... not sure about your intentions, sounds fishy....are you sure you are the right type of website? .

Hi Gabriela. I love this picture ... am fascinated by the homes and building surrounding the church. They look attached to each other. I've never seen anything like this and wondered where this is located. Are these regular homes? Is there only a walkway between them? Are they built right up against each other as it appears? Thank you for this picture. It is so unusual and stirs imagination :).
Posted on 10/24/2009 at 07:47 PM
Very beautiful work of art Adrienne. You are very talented at wire sculpture. It really has the feel and the shape of a tree hanging on to a piece of exsposed bedrock or rock outcroping. Keep up the good work and l hope to see more of it.
