I remember being an artist from the time I could hold a pencil. From drawing with crayons all over the walls, sculpt with my Mother's bread and cookie dough. My driving talent led me to explore many types of paintings and sculpting with clay, wax, and all types of media. I'd bring my sketchbook to the Seattle Woodland Park Zoo, and draw the birds, bears, and elephants for the day. I attended the U of W in Seattle briefly, then transferred to Washington State University in Pullman, WA; true horse country. I met my husband, Phil, while at WSU. He was the same horse-loving boy that I had met in my neighborhood when I was a shy girl of about 12. We were married in 1976, and enjoyed visiting horse shows and Arabian horse breeders together all over Washington, Canada, and Oregon. My artwork is featured in many show catalogs and premium lists, and I illustrated, 'Guardians of the Breed', for the Arabian Horse Association of America. A few years later, I created the bronze portrait sculpture of 'Baskfibia', the well-known sire of champion Arabian horses.
